Our receptionists have various appointments available and need to offer you the most appropriate one. Therefore, the receptionist needs to ask a number of questions to determine whether your problem requires an appointment with a doctor or with another member of the Practice team, including a nurse authorised to prescribe medication. We operate this triage system so that, when a patient requires an appointment with a doctor, it is more likely that one will be obtainable.

We appreciate that some patients may not be comfortable discussing medical problems with non-clinical members of staff, but only a brief outline of the problem is usually required. Please be assured that all of our administrative and reception staff uphold the same principles of confidentiality as our GPs and nurses.

Under appropriate circumstances arrangements for a short telephone consultation at the end of surgery can be made.  Arrange this with the Receptionist in the normal manner.
This Practice may undertake the teaching or training of health care professionals.

All surgeries are by appointment.  You have the right to express a preference for a particular doctor.  However, that doctor may not be available, especially if booking an urgent appointment.

Please tell the receptionist if you are unable to keep an appointment.

Surgeries are by 10 minute appointments.
Please note it will not be possible to deal with multiple problems in the time allocated.  A double appointment should be made. For on the day urgent appointments we only offer single appointments.

Failures to keep appointments or short notice cancellations cause a waste of resources. If you fail to attend three times you will receive a written warning followed by removal from the list should you continue to abuse the system.

It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery for an application form and then you will be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system - see our user guide for further information

Once registered you will be able to view any appointments you have already made, cancel them if necessary, or book a new appointment with the doctor.

When you book an appointment online you will receive confirmation which you can print off and bring with you when you attend the surgery. There is no need to reconfirm
